Daventry Choral Society

Well known to Northamptonshire folk, David Saint was born and grew up in Daventry, attending the local grammar school before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He has worked in all branches of entertainment, from the Royal Shakespeare Company to repertory companies nationwide and abroad. Following ordination into the Anglican priesthood, he served in three Northamptonshire parishes and began broadcasting for the BBC, presenting Open Forum for BBC 4 and then fifteen years of Saint on Sunday for BBC Radio Northampton. As well as producing programmes there, David tours at home and abroad with his ensemble Muse and Music and wrote the libretto for Youth in Time, a commissioned work that was performed by hundreds of children in Northampton.
